What is Allay?
To relieve, to alleviate, to ease.
I have a close friend who has chronic pain. One day, as we prepared for a party she tried to show me how pain affected her daily life. She was holding a handful of metal spoons. She held up one of the spoons and said “Everything I do costs spoons and I only have so many each day. I get up and take care of myself, that is a spoon. I cook breakfast, that is a spoon and I mow the lawn that is 6 spoons. If I use more than that days spoons, they are taken away from tomorrow and then, there is less that I can do tomorrow.”
As a person with chronic pain myself, I see how this illustration rings true. This leads to the question, how do I get more spoons? That is my prayer for this pain relief cream, that it take the knife edge off your pain, that it lets you find hope, and that you get one more spoon.
